"Your hands are FULL"

What?! Not really! Everyone says this to me - I heard it even more when I was going to be pregnant and randoms would ask me two questions. 1) "How old is your daughter" and 2) "when are you due" When I replied that Brylie would be about 20m when Hunter was born it was always the same thing .... "OOH You're goin to be BUSY!!!"

Because I'm not busy already?? Clearly you've never spent a day with Brylie! That girl will wear you out! I love it :)

Anyway, Hunter was born (almost) right on schedule. He was born 6 days shy of Brylie's 21m birthday :) And let me tell you, it has been an adjustment...but not what I was expecting!
You read about how going from 1-2 is so difficult ... but either I'm in for a rude awakening, or I'm incredibly blessed. Brylie has adjusted to the changes freakishly well. She loves her new brother so, so much and she is SUCH a great big sister and Mommy's special helper. She loves to "help" me change Hunter's diapers, she loves to hold him, kiss him, hug him, tickle his tiny toes and just love him in general. When Hunter gets fussy in his carseat she will even rock it for him (ever so gently).

I feel very proud of all the time I spent trying to prepare her for his arrival - I think it paid off. She doesn't act like her world has changed at all. Even now that Hunter nurses ALLLLLLL day and I can't play with her as much (somedays I really don't get to play with her at all) she is perfectly content to just come sit on the couch and snuggle for a few minutes, and then take off back to Brylie-land.

Hunter fits in to our family perfectly. He never really cries, he sleeps really great as long as it's with momma (this is my fault, he slept great on his own before I started sleeping with him...I'm not complaining though!) and is just an all around fantastic little guy. He really is amazing. I didn't know how I would handle having a boy, but I love it!

I'm definitely already thinking about #3 :)
